L'Islet, Guernsey

L'Islet is a quiet coastal village on Guernsey's north coast, where Rousse Tower, the pier, sea birds, changing tides and wide evening skies are part of everyday life. Shaped by salt air, weather and quiet coastal beauty, it is the place Lucy lives and makes her pottery.

Inspired by the sea

I'm Lucy, and I make pottery here in Guernsey. Each piece is thrown on the wheel and made to be enjoyed every day. No two pieces are exactly the same, which is part of what makes handmade pottery so special.

The coastline is my greatest inspiration. The warmth and sparkle of sand, the cool greys of Guernsey granite, and the bright turquoise of calm seas at high tide. I try to capture something of the island in every piece I make.
